Meet Ross, the keeper behind Shrimp Hub

Hi, I’m Ross Wilson. I’ve kept aquariums for more than 22 years, and Shrimp Hub grew out of my own planted tanks here in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Today I breed Neocaridina shrimp across 24 tanks and 12 colour lines, including Red Rili, Bloody Mary, Blue Dream, Snowball and Green Jade, and I import fresh bloodlines directly from specialist breeders in Taiwan to keep colour and health strong. I focus on genuine colour purity rather than mixed or unstable lines, and I check every shrimp by eye before it’s listed, so what you see in my photos and on social media is exactly what arrives at your door. Browse all 12 colours of Neocaridina shrimp for sale.

Once an order is placed, we take shipping just as seriously as breeding. Every shrimp is carefully quarantined and acclimatised before dispatch, giving you strong, settled stock rather than animals shipped straight from a breeding tank. Orders go out via Royal Mail Tracked 24, arriving the next working day, and are packed in secure, insulated packaging designed to keep live shrimp safe, warm and stress-free throughout transit. We treat every parcel the way we’d want to receive one ourselves.

Buying shrimp is only half the job — looking after them well is what keeps a colony thriving. Alongside our shrimp for sale, we share honest, practical care advice covering water parameters, feeding, tank mates and breeding, so you’re not left guessing once your shrimp arrive. Whether you’re setting up your first shrimp tank or expanding an established colony, our goal is simple: healthy shrimp, clearly graded, backed by the knowledge to keep them thriving long after delivery day.
