Live in or around Wakefield or Leeds? You can collect your shrimp in person from Shrimp Hub instead of having them posted. Collection means no time in the post at all, so your shrimp go straight from our tanks into yours.
How collection works
- Message us first. Send a WhatsApp to 07771 111424 or use our contact page with the colours and quantities you want.
- We agree a time. Collection is on weekday evenings, Monday to Friday between 4pm and 8pm, by arrangement.
- We bag your shrimp fresh just before you arrive, in oxygenated bags.
- Collect from Wakefield, WF2. Our address is 22 Field Gate View, Wakefield, WF2 7FE.
Areas we serve
Collection is easiest for keepers in Wakefield, Leeds, Pontefract, Castleford and Ossett, but anyone is welcome to make the trip. If collection isn’t convenient, we post across the UK.
Delivery if you can’t collect
Orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Thursday, go out the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24, and every order includes 20% extra shrimp to cover any losses in transit. See our delivery and DOA policy for the details.
Getting home with your shrimp
- Keep the bag in a cool bag or box, out of direct sun, and away from car heaters.
- Go straight home – shrimp are fine in the bag for a few hours, but there is no need to push it.
- Follow our acclimatising guide when you get home. Take your time; it matters more than anything else on day one.

Do I need to order online first?
No. Just message us with what you want and we will set it aside and agree a collection time.
Can I see the shrimp before I buy?
Yes – that is one of the advantages of collecting. We are happy to show you the colours on the day.
Is collection available at weekends?
Collection is usually on weekday evenings. Message us if you need another time and we will do our best.
