Ordering aquarium shrimp from Shrimp Hub is simple, and every step is designed to get healthy shrimp to your door safely. We’ve spent over 22 years in the hobby refining this process, so whether it’s your first order or your fifth, you’ll know exactly what to expect — from browsing our shrimp for sale through to tracked delivery on your doorstep.

Pick your colour variety from the shop — from Red Rili and Bloody Mary to Blue Dream, Snowball and Green Jade. Every listing shows exactly what you’re getting before you buy, with clear photos and honest grading, so there’s no guesswork when you order aquarium shrimp from us. If you’re new to the hobby, Red Rili is a forgiving first choice for starting a colony.
Check Your Address
Double-check your delivery address at checkout. Live shrimp can’t be redirected once they’re dispatched, so it’s on us both to get this right first time. If you spot a mistake shortly after ordering, get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to update it before your order is packed.
We Pack With Care
Every order goes out in an insulated box with sealed shrimp bags and a heat or cool pack depending on the season, keeping shrimp at a stable temperature throughout transit. We also pack an extra 20% on top of every order as our DOA (dead on arrival) cover — buy 10, receive 12. The extras are there to cover any losses in transit, so your colony numbers are protected.
Tracked Delivery
Orders are sent Royal Mail Tracked 24, dispatched the same day if ordered before 12pm, Monday to Thursday. We don’t dispatch on Fridays, so your shrimp never sit in a depot over the weekend. You’ll get tracking the moment it leaves us, so you know exactly when to expect your shrimp and can be home to receive them — important for live animal deliveries.

Orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Thursday, are dispatched the same day via Royal Mail Tracked 24, typically arriving the next working day.
What happens if a shrimp doesn’t survive the journey?
Every order includes 20% extra shrimp to cover any losses in transit — that’s our DOA (dead on arrival) cover. If more shrimp arrive dead than the extras we’ve added, send us a photo of the unopened bag within 2 hours of delivery and we’ll replace or refund the difference.
Do I need to be home to receive my shrimp?
Yes — since these are live animals, it’s best to be available to bring the parcel in as soon as it arrives rather than leaving it outside.
